What is Ladki Bahin Yojana?

The Mukhyamantri – Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana or the Ladki Bahin Yojana is a government scheme introduced by the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra. The aim of this scheme is to offer economic support to the females aging between 21 to 65 years, improving their health and nutrition. Under this scheme the females are rewarded with an amount of INR 1,500 per month transferred directly into thier bank accounts.

The scheme is a direct benefit for the females belonging to low-income families, widows or divorced, women without stable income source, etc.

Eligibility Criteria for Ladki Bahin Yojana

• The applicant needs to be a resident of Maharashtra state
